Kololo S.S., located in the heart of Kampala, is one of Uganda’s leading government day schools, renowned for academic excellence, discipline, and innovation. With an enrolment of nearly 6,000 students, our school is a vibrant centre of learning where young people are nurtured to become responsible citizens and future leaders.

Since its establishment, Kololo S.S. has consistently upheld its mission of providing holistic education that blends academic achievement, character formation, and practical skills development. In 2011, the Ministry of Education and Sports designated Kololo S.S. as the National ICT Teacher Training Centre for Uganda, and we are equally proud to host the SESEMAT (Secondary Science and Mathematics Teachers’) regional offices and hostel. This facility supports teacher capacity-building programs, equipping science and mathematics teachers with modern pedagogical skills and strengthening Uganda’s drive to improve STEM education.

Beyond its academic role, Kololo S.S. provides facilities that support a wide range of government programs across multiple fields—from ICT in education, teacher training, and inspection follow-ups to youth empowerment, environmental greening, and national skills development initiatives. This makes the school not only a centre of learning for our students but also a strategic hub for national development programs and professional growth for teachers.
